I'd like to see Stellar Entertainment patch some of the issues on the list above (at least the first two or three) before I get enthused about their next project.

Other than the slight graphical brush-up on the PS4, the PS3 version of Burnout Paradise is equal or superior in every conceivable way (well, aside from the fact that PS3 online play was discontinued last year). The core game is superlative the remaster job is barely adequate. I still feel that Burnout Paradise Remastered is an excellent game, and would highly recommend it, but that's only because it's built from the foundation of a true gaming masterpiece. (You can still play custom music using the PS4's OS, but this isn't as elegant as the original game's handling.)

PS3 custom soundtrack feature was eliminated on the PS4.

Optional motion controls from the PS3 were not implemented on the PS4.

Paradise Awards for cars are missing, but are still present for bikes.

The original game had paint jobs representing several different countries-see this link.

You can't change the paint job on the Firehawk GP Competition.

In rare instances, the saved game data file can become corrupted (which happened to me once-thanks goodness I could recover from the PS Plus cloud storage).

The game has a tendency to lock up occasionally.

Some features of the original game are either glitched or missing altogether.

The PS4 version of Burnout Paradise Remastered, has several issues that still haven't been fixed. Most of the upgrades are rather minimal, and there were even some downgrades introduced along the way. The improvements aren't as dramatic as many other well-known "remasters" of this generation (see Wipeout Omega Collection for an impressive example from the racing game genre). On the other hand, I don't think that their "remaster" of Burnout Paradise was anywhere near as good as it should have been. On one hand, Stellar Entertainment has some Criterion roots, so having people already familiar with the development side of the original game makes sense.
